So I finally got my laptop back.  Again, thank you all for helping me out with getting it back.  It is much appreciated.

Unfortunately, all the data was lost.  :(  So I had to have the OS reinstalled and everything.  I am slowly getting programs back but it will take awhile.  As far as art files, I have images posted on DA and Photobucket but no photoshop files.

Damn... that's a real shame. This time be sure to use somthing to backup your precious Photoshop files ^^

You have a damn lot of choices for that, DropBox, Raspberry Pi with an external HDD, SSD, the list goes on...

That sucks about the data. However, a little deconstructing of the saved image files you do have can kinda give you something back. Not the same, but something.

You can see if a drive recovery place can get your data. It can be expensive but they can recover from a lot of dead drives.

(Not looked at pricing lately -- it might be reasonable now.)

I'll check to see if there is any place locally that can do it.  Thank you

Better to start out with a blank laptop then no laptop. I am sure you be up and running in no time.
