Thanks for sharing this. It's very informative & a help to admiring artists such as myself.
It's always nice seeing a finished piece, but it's even better when you can get a grasp on the time & effort that the artist put into it. Makes you appreciate the piece even more.
How long does it take you to do a piece like this?

The times vary since I'm very lazy. lol If I know what I want to draw then probably 7 to 8 hrs. Some pieces do go quicker but I like to take my time. Its weird to stay but coloring doesnt take that much time (maybe an hour or 2).

I've heard others emphasize on the time it takes to do a picture. Do you think that's important?

mmmm Not really. Unless you are doing professional work or on a deadline, time really shouldnt matter. For me its more about making something cool and having fun.

I agree with the professional aspect, but wasn't sure about the personal. Channeling one's creativity artistically should indeed be fun. I think a piece comes out better that way anyways, unless you're just that skilled and/or talented where it doesn't seem to reflect in the art.
Thanks for the insight.

And since I'm not at the level of just pushing out quality work without having some interest in it, I'll just have to keep doing sexy women. LOL

Thank you generously for this amazing gift daikkenaurora and also for making it easy to read. Can`t tell you how pointless some people's tutorials can be when they're the only ones who can read it, lol.

Question about you inking though, I got this Pentel EnerGel I've been using and it does such a sloppy job. Any recommendations on something better and kind of flows with your hand over a bumpy feeling?

Well since my eyesight isnt too great, I tried to make the reading a bit easier for my eyes. If I can read it then anyone else can.

I dont mess with anything 'gel'. they tend to be runny and require some time to fully dry. I can only recommend the micron pens since its what I use but you can also get a fountain pen with changeable cartidges if you like. those also work well since the ink flows nicely and dries fast.
